Full Time Lives

A UX Research Project on finding the best way forward in Retirement Transition

Below is just a brief summary of my Full Time Lives project where I’ve captured most of the deliverables produced. A full write up will be coming soon here and on Medium, so stay tuned!

The Client

Full Time Lives is a coaching business which helps people transition painlessly out of full-time work.

The Problem

The client wanted to increase the exposure and adoption of a digital product on their website, Silver Mirror.

We brainstormed the main issues of what we saw as the initial problems of the website and their product offering. Now it was time to test these assumptions with hard research.

Research

Once we realised we needed more data. We looked into the analytics data of the website.

We analysed the site and conducted secondary research (through Google Analytics, Competitor Analysis)

Personas

The initial design of the product was based the following two personas. However, after our research it was clear that this was not an adequate fit for the product’s target audience who were more tech savvy and independant.

 The Approach

With the research in mind we took the following approach:

• Prioritised features of the digital prototype to create MVP products with an overhaul of Information Architecture for usability testing
• Streamlined the user flow with evidence-based user tasks
• Performed ideation, sketching the new website
• Conducted usability testing to validate features and gather further insights

Outcome

A streamlined digital ecosystem was presented to the client. The information architecture of the site was transformed to streamline the user journey towards the desired product.

An interactive prototype was delivered as well as a new proto persona and other opportunities

Data mining, workflows and new mappings of the digital ecosystem were created

Wire frames and Prototypes

We presented to the client our final prototypes and wire frames enabling a more streamlined flow for users to reach and purchase the end product.

Feedback

“We were impressed by the attention to detail you paid to all the artefacts and insights you had access to in a short amount of time. Your recommendations were very clear and mostly actionable in the short and medium term.”
